WELCOME TO FOOD FOR EARTHLINGS!
We focus on the evolving relationship between earthlings (humans) and their food – exploring ways to nourish ourselves in harmony with nature.
Our blog features healthy, decadent eating, offering simple ways to prepare and enjoy vibrant foods. We also philosophize a bit, look at the energetics of food, and food politics. We write about what we live and what interests us, which may include….well, anything about food!
We are in an exploration with other curious gardeners in our community – of what’s possible to grow in our bio-region. How can we increase variety and nutrients in our foods? What foods do we currently import from far away (like coconut oil and cashews), and what might be their local equivalents?
We are also enjoy playing with our food – like children making mudpies – experimenting with making kombucha, sauerkraut, various kinds of hummus (using different combinations of beans), and other endless possibilities for new nourishing taste sensations.
While we do not ascribe to any one “diet,” we do focus on specific qualities within our umbrella of a whole foods lifestyle. Those include raw foods, gluten-free eating, and superfoods. We hope you are inspired and delighted by what we share!
